My art work is a personal response to my domestic and social space. Sometimes organic, relating to plant forms, sometimes lanscape, also portrait; responding to music events, personal relationships and observations. Always my work is about light. Strong contrasts of light and shade fascinate me and inspire me to represent how I see my personal world, in terms of colour and tone.
I like to use Acrylic paint, oils, pastel, charcoal and watercolour.
This is a large, charcoal drawing, measuring 5' x 10' based on domestic scenes and activities, focusing on 'Value and Visibility' linked with my MA work.
